KOReader is a free, open-source ebook reader application that runs alongside the original Kindle or Kobo software. You boot into it like a separate app, read your books, then exit back to the stock interface whenever you want. No data is lost. It is the same reader trusted by hardware reviewers and serious readers worldwide for its raw control over how the screen renders text and images.
A 6-inch Kindle screen is too small to read a typical A4 PDF — text shrinks to 2–3mm tall. KOReader can re-flow the PDF into readable, scrollable e-book text.
Works on every Kindle / Kobo / Tolino in the shop. Chinese-brand Kindle competitors are not supported by KOReader and we do not stock them.
Reversible — if you decide you do not like it, uninstalling restores the device to factory state. The original Kindle/Kobo store, your purchases, and your library are untouched throughout.
Note: this is an add-on — your cart must also contain a Kindle, Kobo, or Tolino.
No. KOReader installs alongside the original software. You boot back to the stock interface whenever you want — your purchases, library, and account are untouched.
Yes — fully reversible to factory state. On Kobo it is one settings toggle. On Kindle the jailbreak is also reversible by reflashing the original firmware.
Yes — Thai rendering, Thai-English dictionary, and Thai EPUBs all work. KOReader has better Thai handling than stock Kindle, which sometimes breaks word-wrap on Thai text.
Per-device installation work — Kindle requires a jailbreak procedure which takes ~30 min and depends on the firmware version. Kobo is faster (~10 min). The fee covers the manual time, dictionary install, default fonts, and a quick smoke-test on the device before shipping.
